Sermon Connect east coast issues
Posted by Mike White on 25 April 2014 03:47 PM

Greetings!

As those reading this have come to know we have re-opened our case with our streaming provider to find out what is going on in the East Coast of the United States in regard to listening to audio or watching uploaded video in our Sermon Connect system where clicking to play an item does not work.  This does not affect downloaded items or items synced via Youtube/Vimeo/etc. This is currently affecting the East Coast *only* as Central US, West US and international are just fine.  Our issue has been escalated and is being researched and fixed, and we will update this as soon as we have more information.  We are very sorry for the timing of this issue and the length of time it is taking to resolve.  If you have a question please feel free to submit a ticket at our Support Center.

Thanks!

Hotmail bounce backs
Posted by Mike White on 03 April 2014 02:30 PM

Hello!

This morning we noticed several bouncebacks from Hotmail accounts.  The error that was showing looks like this:

<random_client@hotmail.com>: host mx1.hotmail.com[65.55.92.168] said: 550
OU-002 (SNT0-MC3-F28) Unfortunately, messages from 206.127.2.67 weren't
sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their
network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. (in reply to MAIL FROM command)

If you are seeing this, our Engineering team has already worked with the Postmaster for Microsoft and everything should start to be working soon.  We have to wait for our server IP to 'calm down' from the spam rating it has received, and sadly it takes time in the form of several hours for it to do so.  That does mean that you will still receive blocks from Hotmail users, but here in a few hours it should calm down.  If you have any other questions or concerns about this, feel free to contact Support.

Have a great day!
